A sweet antique Edwardian bracelet, made in Chester in 1908. The piece is decorated with alternating pink tourmalines and green peridots with 9ct gold trombone links in between, with a gold loop through the middle. It¡¯s held by a safety chain and a heart padlock at the end, complete with hallmarks and a ¡°W¡¯ emblem on the back and has been fused closed so it can¡¯t be removed.
Heart padlocks were a popular love token in the Edwardian era and were worn as a representation of the couple¡¯s strong love and commitment to one another.?Pink Tourmaline is also known as ¡°the stone of love¡± and is said to promote peace, compassion, and harmony in relationships.
This is a fabulous Edwardian bracelet from the early 20th Century, with a wonderful, romantic past. It would make the perfect gift for a loved one and displays a beautiful collection of complementary gemstones.
